The Nerdy MUA (Make-up Artist)

Introduction: I am a versatile makeup artist with a love for transformation. It gives me great pleasure to give life to what you imagine. Every artist has their canvas and mine is the face. I can create looks from comic books to replicating looks of celebrities down the red carpet. I also provide an array of services from weddings, proms, fashion shows, family portraits, and even Halloween (which by the way is my favorite holiday!) What truly makes me unique from all the rest is that I am super passionate about the skin. I have great interest in it and take skin allergies and sensitivities very seriously. Here is my extended bio, too: I am a creative visual artist with experience in different aspects of makeup: fashion, runway, special effects, abstract, and natural. I am currently working as a makeup artist and cosmetic specialist for Bobbi Brown. My training and education is mainly in biological sciences. I am applying to medical school in hopes to become a dermatologist. My combined passion for skin and the arts are like the dynamic duo. I am a self-taught makeup artist with 7 years of experience. My unique style and creativity has sparked the interest of many industry professionals. In May 2012, I became one of the select few makeup artists chosen to display her talents at "Chicago's Couture Fashion Week." Finally, I chose the name "The Nerdy Makeup Artist" for the simple reason that I enjoy learning not only in terms of medicine, but learning new techniques, trends, and styles of makeup artistry.
