- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Out of necessity, at first, as it was the only way my own businesses were going to succeed. Then, because I wanted to see other colleagues succeed. Now, simply because it's exciting to watch what we do play out.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
We generally build an entire inbound marketing plan and execute on it. Our minimum agreement is three months, but the reality is that most of our clients have never left, especially as we've gotten better at nailing down who is and isn't a great fit for our services.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Know that it's 99% junk, but there is a 1% that is well worth your time. Look for signals of success - an agency with an Alexa ranking over 100k and no past wins should draw skepticism. Beware of black/grey-hat SEO scams that can damage your brand and long-term reputation with search engines - ranking #1 is only impressive if you're still in the Google index 12 months later.
