Introduction: I am a Thumbtack "Best of 2015" and "Best of 2016" award winner.
I have 20 years of experience tutoring in math, science, and ACT prep. I come prepared, and I bring my own study materials. I provide homework help and/or I go over concepts to make sure my students understand the material.
For ACT preparation, I go over concepts, as well as test taking strategies. I have helped students prepare for all areas of the ACT. I have more than 40 actual ACT practice tests that were used in previous years that I use to help prepare my students for the ACT.
I love being a scientist because of the constant challenge and the opportunity to learn new things every day. I love tutoring others, because it gives me the opportunity to share not only my knowledge, but my love for math and science. The greatest satisfaction with tutoring is when I see my students improve their grade/score. I love when students update me on their performance (whether it be in a class, on a test or improvement on the ACT).

Carrie was an excellent tutor! She helped me increase both my math and science ACT scores by five points. We met for two hours, once a week for two months. She always came prepared and with a plan as to what we would work on. If I struggled grasping a concept she would try other teaching strategies to help me better understand. She also taught me different test taking strategies. I would highly recommend her.
