He's an insanely good guitar teacher. I could play a full song by the second time I had seen him. He teaches you songs you want to learn while making sure your improving too. I've learned tons from him and can't wait to learn more!

If you are a beginner or Joe Satriani, Mike Vanier can teach you something. Patient style with beginners young and old, and amazing with advanced students looking to improve "ANY" style. Rock/classic/jazz/blues. This guy has the chops. Also, very well educated in music theory. I recommend taking some lessons from Mike before somebody takes him on a world tour. "NO JOKE"

I have been working with mike for a few year now, and each lesson I have with him is really special. He knows my skill level and knows how I play. He always has good ways to correct my mistakes in my playing and he also is a great singer and helps me with my singing, too. Over all, mike is a great guitar teacher that has a lot of experience and is a great person to be around

Started with Mike about a year ago, at age 57. He has been excellent, pushing me to learn to read music, practicing and playing the right way and keeping it fun. I have referred a couple of friends to him and they are also very happy. Hope to have him as teacher for a long time.

Mike was my teacher for almost 10 years. He helped me to get started and, upon learning the basics, let me go in any direction with my guitar playing that I wanted to while also helping me to develop my chops. He was always helpful and versatile with his knowledge of differen styles of playing, but also always made sure that I was in control of what I was learning. Excellent teacher!
