Chef Matt was fantastic - he proposed a really great menu, and handled it like a pro. We had a group of 15-20, and he cooked a fantastic brunch for us. Would recommend him any time.

I hired Chef Matt for a Christmas experience for my family. It was our first experience with a private chef and I wish we didn't wait this long! Chef Matt was super personable and knowledgeable! The food was amazing quality and we loved every single thing. Even my sister who is a picky eater, this definitely will not be our last time using him. Thank you Matt!

Matt was simply incredible. Incredibly professional and personable (which was a must for an in-home, family event). He had some awesome recommendations and accommodated a few last minute requests. Everything he prepared was incredibly delicious.

This is the first time for me hiring a private chef for a special birthday dinner. We really didn’t know what to expect other than hope for good food. We hired Chef Matt so that could be all together with family in the same place enjoying a great dinner. We have two immunocompromised family members and an infant child the keeps us from nice restaurants that are crowded. Chef Matt was very understanding about our asks to be vaccinated and wear a mask, I hated to have to ask that but he made me feel very comfortable about that and eased my mind. Chef Matt was awesome at designing a menu. I talked with him about our family for about 30 mins on foodie likes and dislikes. He designed a custom menu around that conversation and I only asked for two minor changes. He was very kind about the changes and didn’t make me feel like I was defiling a masterpiece. Our family has a broad range of different food favorites and culture ranges with so many variables. I trusted Chef Matt’s ability to do this, while I was not sure some family would even like some dishes served I went with it. All of us were blown away by every dish he served looking forward to the next course. There was not one dish that any of us turned our nose from or didn't enjoy. He even made some special plates for the two year old and when Chef Matt put a plate in front of him he gave a big “WOW!” and dug in. He was happy for 3 1/2 hours eating with us because it was that good. Chef Matt inspired us that this dinner is about gathering and time for family to enjoy and have fun while eating. He nailed it! What I really respected was that he was personable but not trying to make a staged show of himself and not be the center of attention. He allowed the family to be the center of attention and engaged in a personal and fun way that inspired us to enjoy and have fun. It was a perfect evening with perfect food thanks to an excellent Chef. We will be hiring him again!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A personal chef experience may be more affordable then folks realize. It's important to me to have the guest feel like their experience was a good value.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Customers send their requests however is most convenient. I'll draft a proposal appropriate to the budget and submit it to the customer for review. Then, the customer and I work together to get every detail just right and settle on a price for the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a culinary degree and 10 years of fine dining restaurant experience.
