Introduction: In addition to being a photographer, I also have a background in theatrical lighting design. I have a strong understanding of lighting that allows me to artistically use existing natural light, and creatively supplement it with flash and other light sources.
I also pride myself on composition. I compose my photos right the first time, so the quality isn't cut down by cropping. I want every photo to be interesting, with shallow or deep depths of field, and compositional elements drawing your eye to the main focus point.
I like interacting with you and your guests. I like when people ask for a photo, or when they ask me a question. I'm in this business for the people.
I also like the responses I get when new couples see their wedding photos for the first time. One of the tough things about being the couple getting married, is you miss out on so much of your own wedding. While you're in back getting ready, your guests are arriving and greeting each other. And you can't be in more than one place at a time, so even at the reception, you're missing out on what happens 2 tables away. I like capturing that, so that new memories are made when my photos are viewed.
