Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. More people ask for Botox, than any other procedure. It's quick, safe, results seen sometimes instantaneously or at least within a week. Scientists are always coming up with new uses for Botox. It's miraculous when used properly and safely! Juvederm filler to add volume to the face is also a common procedure. The results are beautiful and can effectively fill in the nasolabial lines, and therefore help someone look' years' younger. Juvederm is also excellent for lip enhancement. Of course we also have requests for laser hair removal and laser photofacials. Thermage skin tightening is becoming very popular lately. The best thing about all this is it's non-surgical and no down- time! Please check us out!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My advise would be to do the homework and find out about the expertise of the person who might be injecting your face with Botox ,Juvederm or Restylane. Is the office run by a physician or at least is a physician present in case there is an untoward reaction? You want to go to the place with the best outcomes. That might not necessarily be the most expensive place or the place downtown. There is absolutely no substitute for a medspa that genuinely cares about people and excellent outcomes .

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I know sometimes it's the little things that matter to people. With having a Medspa, people will come to see me for irritating sunspots or pimples. That might seem like small stuff but if it's important to someone, it's major to that person. My job is to help that person solve whatever their problem might be and bring a little ray of sunshine to their life. I like to think of my Medspa as' the spa with a heart'. No problem too small, no one is insignificant. Everyone is important.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I take a deep, personal involvement in the Medspa since I am the owner and I feel committed to doing an excellent job for my patients. I take both a medical and artistic approach to the Medspa. I take a lot of time to do quality work and make sure my customers are pleased and happy!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love being a doctor. I love being of service to others. If I can positively impact someone's life thru making the correct diagnosis, instituting the appropriate treatment or just providing words of kindness to family members, then I'm satisfied that I'm doing a good job. And when patients tell me how much I've helped them and how I've touched their lives, then I am truly happy!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. People want to know how I decided on becoming a doctor. I tell them I wanted to be a doctor since I was 5 years old. My mother is a nurse and exposed me to medicine early in my life. I have never regretted becoming a doctor. It's a challenging and very rewarding profession!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I enjoy seeing 80-90 year olds come to my medspa for treatments. It truly shows that you can be beautiful at any age- it's a mind-set. I especially enjoy seeing one 90+ patient- a beautiful woman with a sharp mind and a zest for life. Her sharp mind and positive outlook could rival that of women half her age! After I very meticulously do Juvederm and Botox on her, I always ask her about any gentlemen paying attention to her. She always tells me about the compliments they give her- but she's not interested, she's just too busy! But what woman doesn't appreciate attention and admiration from a man? Beauty is at any age!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I would want my customers or patients to know the level of care I place in what I do, and the great emphasis on detail and quality of work. I would also want people to know that I'm willing to work with them and their budget, to make beauty services available to everyone. We are truly the 'spa with a heart' in showing compassion and excellent outcomes! People can truly get their money's worth and more!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I decided to get into medical aesthetics because I saw a perceived need and demand for it. I've been an Internist for nearly 30 years. I wanted to venture out into the artistic arena, since I also love the arts. The Medspa allows me to use my artistic talents for beautiful results for my patients- results I can be proud of. I see the Medspa as reflective of me since it carries my name. I take that very seriously. I'm always happy to see my patients coming back . It shows I did my job right and they're pleased and coming back for more!

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I recently took time and effort in placing Juvederm in just the right amount in the folds of the face [nasolabial lines] and augmenting the lips with Juvederm. The results were beautiful! I felt like an artist sculpting the face. That was a wonderful feeling, very rewarding!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I am constantly attending conferences to keep up with the latest developments in the field of Aesthetic Medicine and Anti-Aging Medicine. I go to a yearly Fall Clinical Dermatology Conference. I also attend many conferences sponsored by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. I received my Board Certification in Anti-Aging Medicine by passing a rigorous written exam as well as oral exam. The expertise and training is certainly there and my numerous diplomas attest to that.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. We had a recent Botox, Juvederm and Laser party in the Medspa. It was well attended and a lot of fun. Discounts on Juvederm and Laser services were offered as well as our favorite, well-priced Botox $150 per treatment area. With the Juvederm special, one syringe averaged $400-$450 dollars, with the purchase of 2 syringes. We also offered laser hair removal, full face 10 sessions for $750! Those are great prices! People were very pleased!
