Julian Chavez

Introduction: I am a former Division I college player. Before going to college I was playing junior national and international tournaments in South America and I got to play 3 professional tournaments before I came with the U.S with an athletic scholarship. I focus mostly on beginner and intermediate players as I enjoy teaching the fundamentals of tennis so players have a good foundation (on technique, footwork, and game strategy) to develop their game on. While I was a junior player I was an assistant coach at my tennis academy and I started coaching 5 years ago at different summer camps. I have been coaching independently for two years to a very diverse group of players. I mostly coach at Waveland and Oz park but I am also flexible in going to other courts in the Near North Side, Annacoln Park and Lake View. I have spent countless hours at a tennis court because I am very passionate for this sport. Now that my tennis career has come to an end I want to share this passion with others. I love seeing my players develop their game and learn to appreciate this amazing sport.
