Introduction: I believe that spiritual surrealism and its visualization plays the most important role in my life. Within my photography and collage work, I'm interested in capturing microscopic moments, the barely perceptible. I often liken these moments to a drop of water--momentary, elusive, quickly dissolved into the fabric of unconscious existence. If I'm able to capture these moments, seeing them encapsulated within my work, I experience pure bliss.
As in poetry, I feel it is important to be guided by my present, to allow my current mood and energy guide the direction of my work. Working in this way is never about letting my mood and energy overpower my concepts and ideas, but to facilitate the capturing of what lies within the concept, what drives my consciousness towards my concepts, what lies beneath.
Photography allows me to create images, I can only see in my head first. Sometimes it's just the mood I feel, that inspires me. It pushes me to find ways to recreate the vision I have inside of me.
Working with different people/models gives me joy of spontaneous creativity, where "anything can happen".
Sometimes there is a concept behind the shoot, and other times we just play with styles and moods, awakening creative potential of the model-photographer team.
