Introduction: I have a fun, yet thorough and engaging approach to teaching music and guitar playing. My approach comes from a singer-songwriter perspective -- by playing the songs you like, you will stay interested and motivated, which is the most important part in making progress. And creativity is highly encouraged! Many of my students write their own songs while learning the basic tenets of guitar-playing, as well as some music theory. I love teaching people -- especially children -- how to tap into their most creative selves. I love teaching others how to combine discipline and structure with their innate creativity to accomplish great things through music. I love watching my students' confidence grow over time. Their joy is infectious!
