Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

MoMo Silly Magic Show
Song & Dance Routines, Interactive Games
Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.
A. Doing the MoMo Magic Show for a three year old's birthday; face painting and balloon twisting as a fairy godmother for a little girl's birthday party;
Doing face painting for a one year old birthday celebration;
Providing airbrushed and glitter tattoos for a Tween Slumber party.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Talk to the business owner. Ask questions! Get a feel for the person coming to entertain your friends, family and children.
Are they willing to work with you to tailor their services to match your event?
Look out for "yes men". If they don't have limits, they arent' being honest with you. No performer can single handedly entertain 100 children in an hour where everyone get a balloon and/or face painting. It's also fair to ask, just how many guests can be serviced in an hour? Ask what their limits are, and compare when you are shopping around.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Be sure the performer is insured and is using child safe standards such as professional grade face paint versus acrylic paints on the skin. Another thing to watch out for: we don't give balloons to children under the age of 1 due to choking hazards. Our motto is if the child isn't old enough to ask for a balloon, they might be too young to have one.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Is this their career or just something they do on the side? Are they professional? Are they insured? Do they work with you to customize their services to your event? Do they have a website they can refer you to look at? Do they have a variety of pictures for you to look at? Can they give you referrals?
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am considered an entertainer in my professional field, which means that I can provide multiple services for my clients. I am continually educating myself to grow professionally so that I can provide not only the best skills for my clients, but offer them a wide variety of options to choose from. I work as a professional clown, face painter, body artist, balloon twister, balloon decorator, magician, temporary body artist, henna/mehendi artist and airbrush artist.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love making people laugh. The looks of awe that I get when performing are so worthwhile. Seeing a child's face light up over a face painting or really great balloon sculpture is so fun. Also when the kids run and hug me at the end of a show - priceless.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Can I get a combination of services? Absolutely, just make sure you allow enough time foe everything. If you have 20 children and you'd like both balloons and face painting, remember an hour for each service. That gives us approximately 3 minutes for each service per child. If you are looking for premium services, you'll want to increase the length of our stay or bring in two performers, which we will happily accommodate.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I routinely attend conferences geared toward the entertainment community. I teach at face painting conventions and regularly attend balloon and clown jams, conferences and meetings.
