I have a Masters of Music in Double Bass Performance from Northwestern University and my emphasis is on classical music. Upon request, rudiments of jazz or popular music (incluidng bass guitar) may be taught in conjunction with classical double bass (upright).
My musical background includes orchestral music, musical theater, opera, pop/rock, jazz, blues, tango and Arabic music.
I am currently on the faculty of the Music Institute of Chicago and also maintain a private studio in Evanston. Previous students have been accepted by DePaul University School of Music, Manhattan School of Music, University of Iowa School of Music, University of Illinois School of Music and Lawrence University Conservatory of Music.
