A. Shop around for someone that you like and want to work with, a professional service will make you feel comfortable and make the process easy. You are looking for a relationship-even if for a short period.
Have as much information together about your event as you can think of such as budget, location, Times and dates, type of or reason for event, number of people attending, How many hours would you like the event to be, etc
Plan ahead! Waiting until last minute will cost more in the long run and you are likely to not get what you really want.
If you like the service provided, refer that service to others-it will benefit you in the long run.
A. I like to know reputation, experience and customer service. most of which you can get from talking with a service but ask around as well.
A. How long have you been in business?
Where have you performed and for who?
Do you have promotional materials (video, audio, photos)?
Are you insured?
If someone makes you comfortable when asking your own questions, they are probably a professional. If you are not comfortable with the answers or the style of answers they may not be a good fit.
A. Budgets-How much are you willing or interested in spending realistically. If you ask for the moon, is that right for your event and your budget. People often want all of the bells and whistles but only have space or funding for a basic package. Knowing this will speed up and ease the process.
