Heather is a fantastic Pilates instructor. I had the pleasure of taking private sessions with her when I was starting from scratch. I'd never even been to a Pilates studio before we starting working together. I found her to be very knowledgable, patient, experienced and motivating and anyone would be lucky to have her teach them Pilates!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Yes, every two years I complete continuing ed classes to keep my Pilates certification current. In 2011 I became a Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist from The Pink Ribbon Program and in 2013 I completed Pilates for ACL Rehab at Pilates on Tour in Chicago.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I was a ballet dancer and suffered two knee injuries as a teenager. Many years later, I became pregnant and was searching for a class that was low-impact and found Pilates. After two months of mat classes, my knee pain disappeared and I never suffered from low back pain during my pregnancy. I became hooked on Pilates and in 2008 decided to leave a high profile marketing job in order to help others overcome their injuries, feel better about their own bodies and help cultivate their overall mind-body connection.
