Very professional and the children loved him. There were so many children that he was willing to stay longer too! We plan to ask him back again!

Anthony was great! He was arrived early, and he was very patient with the kids. I'll definitely recommend him to my friends, and I'll definitely hire him again.

Anthony the Balloon Guy is the best! Not only is he entertaining - but he involves everyone while he makes the most amazing creations with balloons I've ever seen! While kids love him - he is fantastic at parties for adults (the big kids). He is good clean fun, everybody is rewarded, and everyone is sorry to see him ride off on his unicycle when the the party is over!! Encore! Encore!

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My work stands out from that of other Balloon Twisters because I go ABOVE and BEYOND the mark! Most Balloon Twisters focus on making the quick and simple balloons.
(Things that everyone has seen before; dogs, cats, swords, flowers, giraffes, and etc. ... Balloons that without a little art from a sharpie are unrecognizable to the untrained eye.)

My Policy is “Big Kids Get BIG Balloons!” And I hold true to my word! Some of my party favorites include my 3.5’ monkey, 5’ Flamingo, Giant Bubbly Fish, Super sized Pirate complete with handlebar mustache, hook, peg leg, and super fancy pirate sword, and etc.

So take a look at my webpage to see more of what I can do!

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. It Allows me to be Free and Creative! I Love my job because it allows me to have Fun! It Gives me a reason to be Silly with Kids and Adults, It allows me to be able to play with Balloons! - (Which I Love!) And it allows me to be my own Boss. = )

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Christmas was approaching fast near the end of December of 2007, and poor little Anthony hadn’t a clue as to what he wanted for Christmas that year. He thought and he thought, and then he thought some more. But it was no use. His mind was blank. But then one night as he drifted off into a deep and wonderful sleep he had a dream. A dream in which he found himself speeding out of control through his neighborhood on a Unicycle! Scared for his life and struggling to keep his balance he awoke with a fright! At that moment, he knew. Little Anthony now knew what he wanted for Christmas that year. A Unicycle.

Christmas came, and so did the Unicycle. He failed at first, but eventually he learned how to ride. This newly acquired skill landed him a job as a Unicyclist in the Northern Chicago area. But seeing as how hardly anyone ever thinks to hire a Unicyclist, his employer suggested that he learned something a bit more useful... something that people actually Think to hire... Something, or someone, like a Balloon Twister! And so he bought some balloons, wore out his cheek muscles, and taught himself how to twist balloons!

In time poor little Anthony grew up to be something that no one had ever expected, Me! - Anthony The Balloon Guy, Balloon Twister and Unicyclist Extrordinaire!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Not formally, no. But to ensure that I stay on top of my game and to help myself to continue to learn new shapes and designs I do this:

When Twisting for tips at restaurants I don't tell everyone what I can make. I start with something complicated and awesome to show everyone that I'm not just your average everyday balloon twister. By doing this I am able to help my customers to think out of the box, and to give me an idea of something to make which I may or may not have ever made before. Thus causing me to teach myself new designs.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. My best advice for any new balloon Twister would simply be to not doubt yourself. When inventing a new design, performing at a party / event, or when attempting to land your own restaurant gig for the first time, you must have confidence in yourself.
