After my son was bullied by 6 boys, I decided it was time to seek self defense classes. At first visit to ATF&MA, it was an intense scene of 15-20 people doing stick fighting drills. Seeing this and also being a fan of Bruce Lee, I knew we were in the right place. We were initially there for my son but I knew immediately that this was also something I wanted to do. Coming off a 2 year couch potato session, we were immediately partaking in physical conditioning in addition to learning self defense techniques of Jeet Kune Do. Within a few weeks I was no longer feeling like I was going to die during the physical workouts and was actually more energetic, confident and mentally clear from the workouts, as was my son. Elliott is an exceptional trainer. He takes the time to explain and is patient in going over moves as many times as it takes until it sinks in. All of the classmates are fun and friendly and supporting of each other whether one is a beginner or an advanced participant. The training is a blast and is one of the best things I've ever done. I'm happy for the positive, energetic, and motivating atmosphere and environment. In addition to the above, Elliott is also a motivating and inspiring speaker in sharing relevant life events and also provides videos of each lesson for practice outside of class. I would recommend this training to anyone.

I took lessons and trained under Elliott for over two years, and in that entire time his teaching was nothing but outstanding. The more you put into his classes, the more you'll get out of them. Elliott can and will teach you well no matter who you are or how physically fit you think you are/aren't, and that sets him way above most dojos or whatever giant group class they offer at the park district that are just looking to make a quick buck off you. I highly recommend his private lessons if they're in your budget because there's no substitute for the way he can meet an individual student's needs and develop their strengths one-on-one, but you're guaranteed great, friendly, and personal instruction no matter which program you take.

Working with Sifu Elliott has been great! I had been looking into trying martial arts for some time and I'm glad I chose Jeet Kune Do/Filipino martial arts at All Three Fitness and Martial Arts. It is a smaller more personal environment with lots of hands on teaching in addition to being a great workout. We are always learning something new as well reinforcing previous techniques. His knowledge in martial arts and self-defense ranges from hand-to-hand combat, edged weapons, escrima sticks, and even ground tactics. What better way to learn than from someone who has put these techniques into practice? If you are serious about pursuing martial arts or self-defense I highly recommend learning from Sifu Elliott!

Elliott has been my personal trainer for over three years now. I am 59y/o and have worked out all my life. Elliott is the best trainer I have ever worked with. He is affordable, inspiring, and leads by example. He walks the walk. He designs a program that has put me in the best fitness of my life. And I enjoy feeling this way. My favorite part of the program is kickboxing!!! Check him out!!! You won't be disappointed, I promise. That is if you are serious about getting in shape.

    Look for someone who cares more about you as an individual than your money. Someone who knows that if they treat someone the way they would want to be treated money won't be an issue.
