Farrell Construction did a wonderful job for me. He came out and fixed a leak I had in my roof after the recent freeze and thaw. He was reasonably priced and courteous. He has a great sense of humor and we exchanged soup recipes. Just a great guy.

I hired Tom to do some small repairs around my property. He and his crew did a Great job. They showed up on time and completed the little projects of fence mending and roof repairs on several of my out buildings. I was impressed by the price and the quality of their work. I have since contracted with Tom to do the maintence on all my properties. I am very happy with Farrell Construction.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. My most common types of work include, general repair, windows, doors and roof repair. Right now insullation and repacement windows are big. Also, roof repairs and wood replacement.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you get the best price for the best quality. I like my customers to get several estimates to compare with what I offer for the price. I will always give my customers a choice of materials and options to best meet their standards at a reasonable price. Always shop around. Always ask for references and portfolios of previous jobs completed.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Always check refrences. When looking for a general contractor the bigoutfits usually overcharge and many do not pay attention to detail. Always double check the quality and craftsmanship of the work before paying the contractor.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What are your qualifictions. Have you done a job like this before. Can you complete the job in a timely manner. What other considerations do I have to take into account ie, will the bathroom be uasable, will my appliances be connected, is there any health precautions regarding the materials being used. Is the contractor "GREEN".

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I like working with my hands ever since I can remember. I am talented with woodwork, trim, and wood floors. I like to be able to look at my work and know I have done a great job.
