Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Home Buyers inspections, Home sellers inspections, mold investigations & annual home safety check-ups.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. There are inspectors who will do an inspection for less money than mine, but you'll get what you pay for. Is it really worth saving a hundred dollars while risking an investment of several hundred thousand?

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Most buyers hire an inspector after their offer has been accepted. There is typically a five business day period allowed to complete due dilligence, including the inspection.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I provide superior customer service and communication, a thorough and informative report and 100 Day Inspection coverage to all home Buyers. I'm also a Certified Mold Inspector and Certified Indoor Air Consultant. Air and surface sampling for mold with lab analysis & reporting are available for mold, as well as sampling and analysis for lead paint.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I especially love being able to help young couples realize the dream of owning their first home, and the overall feeling that I'm helping people.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish more home sellers realized that a home inspector can help them get top dollar for their home by helping them disclose any problems before they come up in the buyers inspection and undermine negotiations. Items disclosed up front won't end up costing the seller thousands of dollars at closing.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Illinois licensed inspectors are required to complete 12 hours of continuing education during each two year license renewal period.
