Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What is the process to select granite or marble?
There are four basic questions that each job requires.
First: What color or stone name do you like?
We provide samples and suggestions and help you to select the right stone for your project. You get to pick your own slabs.
Second: What edge detail looks better?
Polished and Eased, Half Bullnosed, Beveled, Full Bullnosed or Ogee edges, depending on your cabinet style and stone selection.
Third: What about the Back Splash?
You can select a 4" back splash, full height back splash to the bottom of the upper cabinets, no back splash, tile back splash or a combination of 4" back splash with tiles the rest of the way up the wall. We provide tiles and installation.
Fourth: Is there anything unusual about the job?
Is there a wet bar sink cut out also? Is there a raised breakfast bar? Is the building a 3 story walk up? Is the job more than 100 miles away? Is there demolition involved? Anything that might be "different"?
Does Mastercraft attach the sink?
Yes, we attach the sink to the stone, but we do not include the actual plumbing.
Do we need to seal the countertops?
Mastercraft provides a professionally applied sealer to all of our natural stone countertops and fireplaces. This is included.
How long does it take and how do we move forward?
Sign the proposal / contract and provide the deposit for the job. This will start the schedule process. We will then schedule a field measurement and templating. Usually we will set the installation to be about 7 to 10 days later depending on the number of rooms and fireplaces or the complexity of the job.
Can my plumber hook up the plumbing right away? It is better if the adhesive is allowed to cure for at least 24 hours before any work is performed by the plumber.
