The trainer was very professional and helpful. Lots of handouts, clear instructions and worked well with our dog. Looking forward to working more with her.

I am a fellow dog trainer, but I’m more involved with strictly performance training (agility, obedience competitions, trialing, testing & certifications) and cannot spend the time trying to help dogs with behavioral issues. Gayle is the person I refer any dogs that might have potential, but have other issues that need to be addressed. Her understanding of dog’s behavior and how people should relate to them is very keen. If you read on her website, her description of how she thinks people should relate to dogs it is enlightening. She says on her website that we have to lead dogs so that they can be carefree and just be dogs. Gayle is a behavioral specialist that helps people and dogs are happy together. This summarizes how and what she does for dogs and the people that love them.
Hiring Gayle to help you and you're dog is the best thing you can do for your Dog!

Gayle has been working with my two rescued senior dogs since July and the change has been amazing. Rocco, in particular has found confidence and learned how to play with toys and behave around people and other dogs. Rocco has learned to do agility and looks forward to his times working with Gayle. Both dogs have learned to curb their aggression and fear! Gayle is very patient and very gentle, but firm. Just what they needed.

We were very satisfied with Gayle's training sessions. Her experience and ability to help us learn how to train our new puppy and older dog was most helpful. I think the home setting is an ideal place to train dog's especially a new ones.

I hired Gale, to help train my puppy. She had him sitting, down and staying within two sessions! She uses positive training, so my dog listened and responded quickly. Everyone that meets my dog is SHOCKED, by how well trained and behaved he is.
Gale is flexible and has no problem helping with situations, as they come up. I can call her anytime and she will help fix any problems, that I'm having. I had used other trainers, before Gale and I was not pleased with any of them! A lot of trainers don't connect with the dog, use prong collars and don't make training fun or exciting.
Not only will your dog enjoy working with her, so will you!

We worked with Gayle for several weeks following the arrival of our new puppy, Gracie. Gracie was a 'rescued' pup, about a year old, part chocolate lab, part lucifer....
Gayle did a great job, working both with Gracie and with us. She has a ton of experience, a great sense of humor, and a very flexible approach that allowed us to get Gracie to at least a controllable state in a relatively short timeframe. I really think the hardest part of Gayle's job was 'training' my wife and I, and since we survived and Gracie is now a (fairly) well-behaved pup, I think she worked a miracle!
We heartily recommend Gayle!

Gayle has helped us to make amazing progress with our family dog, Grover. Grover is now housebroken - which at one point in time we were certain would never happen! Gayle helped teach us simple techniques, and when consistently applied, the results were incredible. She has also helped us with mouthing issues (him biting or mouthing your hand), jumping issues, and confidence issues he had as a result of being a shelter dog. Thanks to Gayle, our dog Grover is still a happy member of our family. We were tearing our hair out before.....now I know that if I have any other issues, we can contact her and she can quickly put us on the right track again. Thanks so much for your dedication and passion to the dog training industry Gayle!

A. Puppy Training is probably the most common - and I love training puppies. They are learning sponges. It is so rewarding when an Owner tells me that their friends and family say what a well behaved puppy they have. I know each and every owner must work very hard to accomplish that and I feel honored to be a part of that.
A. As with any professional we hire, we have to not just trust their ability, but we have to actually "like" them as a person and feel that they are looking out for the best interests of your dog. Listening to what you say is first and foremost. Training is a journey, and the owner/trainer are "stuck" with each other for anywhere from 4-6-8 weeks. If you are working with someone you don't particularly like it makes things quite difficult and your dog will probably not benefit from the training you receive. (We tend to tune people out that we don't like). Work with someone you like and that you feel is really listening to you and looking out for yours and your pets interests.
A. I pride myself in not only learning your dog and how to effectively communicate with them, but also communicate with the customer. I listen to the customer's needs and tailor each program to fit their needs and lifestyle.
A. I love watching the owner / pet relationship grow. Usually I start training a dog when they are a puppy and I have the ability to watch the relationship grow from puppy love, to puppy frustration (we have all been through it) to a wonderful trusting, balanced relationship. I can see the progress not only the dog makes but the pride the owner has in their pet as they continue on their journey. It is such an awesome feeling to know that I have been a part of that.
A. "How do I make my dog listen to me?" is a question I hear all of the time. Effective communication with your pet requires learning what motivates them and using those motivation tools, as well as other effective tools to help them understand what it is you are asking of them. These tools help build that trusting owner/pet relationship for years to come.
A. I have loved animals from the time I was little. In my early 20's I decided to volunteer my time at a shelter and absolutely loved it! It was so rewarding (most of the time). I always tried to add some love to an animals day. I decided then to also try to help people make their own dogs happy - and I have found the best way to do this is through being an effective leader and taking the stress off your dog. When they have a strong, effective leader they can just be a happy, carefree dog!
A. I attend many different workshops on animal behavior. Talking to other trainers on their experiences is also so helpful in problem solving - sometimes we need to really think out of the box to solve a dog issue.
A. Having a love of animals, people and the gift of gab is a must. Not only are you working with a pet but you are working with the owners. You have now become extended family! Be kind, considerate, practical, keep your sense of humor and above all else LISTEN......... Owners have a lot of good things to say if you take the time and listen.
