My most popular service is the flat-rate design consultation. This is a great way to get the help of a designer for an affordable rate and the freedom to implement the room design at your own pace, at your convenience.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I recently helped a family renovate their small, windowless, oddly-shaped bathroom on a reasonable budget. A total gut job wasn't possible, so we kept the same layout and made some much-needed cosmetic updates, like replacing the vanity, tile floor, and light fixtures. The room is brighter and more functional (thanks to the smaller vanity).
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There's no such thing as too much information when it comes to designing a space. Don't be afraid to have inspiration photos picked out (Pinterest is a great resource for this), make a list of what people do in the room, who uses it, how you want the space to feel... The more you know about the room, the easier it will be for me to help you!
