A. It is always best to listen to the client before offering advice or solutions. Although we are event professionals, we take our lead from the client. There are often times the client will not know exactly what they want or in which direction they want to go. Therefore, we help them research options that will fit into their timeframe, budget and personal taste. Even when working with a client with a smaller budget doesn't mean the service provider should skimp on quality or service.
A. There are some services that can be negotiated, such as floral services. Depending on the season or time of year, there are flowers that are less expensive during certain times of the year.
A. What are your credentials? Do you have liability insurance? May we have a list of client references for the past year? How can you be reached should emergencies arise? What makes your services different from competitors? How do handle disgruntled or disatisfied customers? What is your return, exchange or cancellation policy?
A. How to you envision your special day/event? Have you considered your budget, planning time and resources? Have you considered your guests ability to travel to/from event venue? For ourdoor events, what is your contingency plan if the weather is unfavorable.
A. I like the fact that each day is different, full of challenges and opportunities. I love make sure all details are to the clients specification and the smile on their faces when we've achieved approval and have earned their trust.
A. Customers typically ask how I juggle more than one event at a time. Being a mother and "home manager" has equipped me to be a multi-tasker and organizer. I have a great support system, a fantastic event planning team and professionals vendors that I trust to help me pull off every evernt.
