FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to consult with them before I start any service to ensure that we are on the same page and I have a clear understanding of what they want.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It is required by the state of Illinois to have 14 hours of continuing education every two years. At my salon we well exceed the 14 hours because my boss schedules in house classes for us at the salon as well as going to cites for classes. I've been to classes in other states as well as Italy to attend a two day hair class at the Kemon Studio.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always been fascinated by hair. I always found myself braiding dolls and styling friends hair for dances. I've wanted to become a stylist since I was 13. I went to beauty school right after high school. After graduating, I went into an apprentice training program at Salon Evangelos. A year later I became a stylist at the Salon where I've been for the past seven years.
