One day out of the blue I found out that my accountant suddenly closed shop and handed all files over to Eddie at Zen Capital. When I reached out to Zen they acted like nothing had happened, explained how busy their practice is, and kind of cluelessly just asked if I wanted to leave my paperwork with them to do my current year's taxes. (Due the following day.) Their complete lack of consideration for their client's point of view was shocking.

The most important thing in searching for a good service provider is the provider's ability to respond to and deliver on the service requests you are making. The provider should be able to provide you with a thoughtful rationale on why he/she is providing you with the solution that he is proposing and have a clear plan in dealing with the tasks you have assigned him/her. I also believe there should be a good professional connection between you and the provider. He/she should be speaking and acting in a honest, consistent manner and should be delivering you object advice. This will mean that at times, the provider will tell you things you may NOT want to hear.
