- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of EARS Chicago which is a recording engineer and studio owners society. we meet each month at different studios in the chicagoland area, we discuss new techniques, trends, the business of studio ownership, we test new gear from manufacturers etc. I am also a member of The Recording Academy (Grammy). They provide seminars with some of the top recording engineers and producers to help better everyone's recording abilities and with GRAMMY winning and nominated artists to discuss their needs when they work with producers and engineers.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice is to look at everything they have to offer, look at their credits, its imperative that you visit their studios and meet with the individual that will be providing the service to see if they are a good match and you feel confident in their abilities.
