Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Family portraits, corporate events and children's birthday parties.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Do your research and view their portfolio. Can they create the image you want, and when you express your vision of what you want your images to look like do they have ideas to contribute, samples, or websites to reference? A creative photographer will have a yes answer to all these questions.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. What I love most about photography is the joy it brings to people knowing they can trust me to capture their memories to enjoy for years to come. I was working at a birthday party for an adorable 1 year old, and after the cake and the singing was done they realized their video camera recorded nothing! They turned to me and I was happy to tell them,"Don't worry, I got it."

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Where do you get your inspiration and ideas from?

I love research, and by research I mean hours spent on photography websites getting inspired, searching for new places to shoot, new poses and technology to improve photographs.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I have a background in meeting and event planning as well as experience as a camp counselor and daycare teacher.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. By accident entirely. I had planned a trip to France and two days before I left my good pal broke my camera! I was so upset but had it in the back of my mind that I needed a new camera anyways. I went out and bought a brand new Nikon camera and the rest is history.

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. No complications here, if you or your business has a budget I would love to work with you to find a number you can be comfortable with! Everyone deserves quality memories and shouldn't have to pay a fortune to have them.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. I'm currently working on learning the new Bokeh technique of shooting, it's absolutely gorgeous. I'm constantly trying to improve my work with different poses, lenses, and editing equipment.
