FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Those in the massage and bodywork field should take enough continuing education credits to satisfy the State Board, the insurance carrier, and the National Certification Board. That boils down to around 24 every two years and half must be hands-on.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

If you have the misfortune to experience a poor massage, please don't give up on the profession. Some possible negative examples include: those that just want to make money, those that don't know what they are doing, and absolute nuts. However there are massage therapists out there that feel this is a calling, that would not want to do anything else, and invest large chunks of money to properly educate themselves.
