Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Look for testimonials, check references and be sure that the designer releases all artwork to you at the end of the job. The last thing you want is to be held hostage by your designer just to make minor changes.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Designers spend a lot of time honing their skills and developing their expertise. Just because something might "not take that long" doesn't mean that skill and knowledge didn't go into creating it. The increase in productivity (i.e. time) is a result of those acquired skills and knowledge.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. This is a tough question to answer. The sheer nature of providing a service as opposed to a product is hard for a customer because there is no tangible product yet. You have to ask enough questions to make you feel comfortable using that provider. It's also helpful to get a written agreement before starting the project so that both parties are clear on the expectations of either side.
