Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Safety is a very important factor when searching for a guitar teacher, especially if it's for a child. This needs to something you consider carefully when you send your child into a room with an instructor for a lesson. I have worked with kids and adults of all ages and have plenty of references if needed.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Everyone who wants to learn guitar is ready to "PLAY" the thing...but playing takes quite a while to actually acheive. There is a pretty lengthy learning curve in most cases. Brad Paisley has a quote: "like a lot of things in life, playing guitar is kind of fun once you get halfway decent at it. But boy, it sucks at first". Be patient and practice every day...it WILL get easier!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask how long someone has been playing and what their experience is. if you get one word answers in response, I wouldn't waste my time. You want someone who is at least dedicated to the instrument and has a passion for it. They don't have to be the most trained professional, but having a love for their trade is invaluable.
