FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am continuously continuing my "education" by reading the books that the masters themselves put out. I don't agree with any of them on everything, but I learn a lot from all of them and apply the measures I believe will have positive effects and hone those talents as often as possible
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Unfortunately, due to the death of my brother who lived in another state. We got a call at 3 a.m. and we were all packing up and heading down there, but the problem was that we always watched each other's dogs and now we all needed to go at the same time. Well, we just couldn't go and put them in a kennel, and plus it was the middle of vacation time so even if we would, finding a space for all of them would have been impossible. My husband stayed home with all of the dogs while we went down there for a few days. We knew there were lots of people without the option of keeping their dogs out of kennels and knew that would be our niche - to be the "family" here that they didn't have. A safe place where you know the people well and your dog continues to live in a family home in a family environment, and it is so reasonably priced that everybody can have good pet care for their babies.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Mostly boarding for vacationing families. However, we do have some business travelers as well as some daycare only guests. We have some grooming, all basic. We also do a fair amount of training.
