Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Birthday parties, family gatherings, holiday parties, corporate events

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. A custom caricature of a white Sox fan, girl batting wearing uniform in stadium with her favorite players number this was a gift caricature. I have been doing tons of pet caricature and pet portraits this year 2012. I do live dog sketching at events or from your photos a great alternative to the classical portrait. I also make custom bobble head caricatures from photos, they are 3D and the head really bobble!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Schedule the artist a little after the event starts giving your guests time to mingle a little first!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Caricatures make great gifts for all ages, they are also a wonderful too to promote small business or services.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What are the rates? Is there a deposit? Do you charge a travel fee? What kind of space or set up do you need? Discuss the lighting at the location. Discuss shade if outdoors. Discuss overtime rates. Understand that if someones rates are low it may reflect in the finished product. Art like any other field takes years of dedication and practice to become proficient.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. How many people are expected, if there is any additional elements they would like included in the drawings, if it is indoors or outdoors

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My many years of drawing experience and my whimsical style.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. It's lots of fun, meeting many different people, making them laugh!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How long have you been drawing...as long as I can remember.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. While at a caricature convention I had a great drawing done by another very talented caricature artist, someone made a video of it posted it on you tube and now I am kind of famous because of it...sometimes I get the "hey you are that girl in the demo"

A. It is a awesome way to commemorate a special day!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. It is a long story

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. I am currently focused on pet caricatures as well as people, I have quickly improved my skills since Jan of this year doing pet sketches! they can be seen on my face book and blogs.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Constantly draw, always looking to improve my skills, a lot of books

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. The digital world has also now crossed over into caricatures.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Practice, practice, draw everything, carry a sketchbook wherever you go!

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. I have been drawing my entire life.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. I have been focused on pet caricatures this year and have been doing a lot of dog events for rescue group and private clients! I am drawing animals everyday and and quickly learning and improving those skills...dogs like children really do not like to sit and be drawn you have to be quick and observant!
