FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It tends to fluctuate as I can meet nearly any demand, but my living is pretty modest, and if I could make about $45,000 a year, my life will be fairly comfortable. $45,000/yr equates to about $25/hr working 40 hours a week. So $25 for an hour lesson, $15 for 30 minutes.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Learning to play music is all about ambition. When first getting started I most certainly want to take a lesson (or two) to gather what the student is most interested in. Sometimes learning cover songs is the quickest way to get on the horse, other times it's discussing just how your gear works that'll really get the fire brewing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took bass guitar lessons for over 5 years, played in jazz band for 4, and have been writing/performing original music for over 10.
