Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that small businesses rated Indiana highly for the ease of starting a business in the state and for its licensing regulations.
Some of the key findings for Indiana include:
- Indiana earned a 'B+' grade overall from state small businesses, as well as a 'B+' for the ease of starting a business in the state.
- Like many others across the country, Indiana's small business owners expressed concern about obtaining and keeping health insurance, with 60% of those surveyed rating it as difficult.
