I hold a degree in illustration from the Columbus College of Art and Design. I have an extensive background in traditional art skills, and my patrons appreciate creativity and my ability to connect with the viewer.
My work ranges from children's illustration to animal rights or environmental, and my strengths are good draftsmanship and a strong sense of composition and color.
I offer instruction to all ages and skill levels, but I specialize in preparing high school students for a formal art education. I can also provide any age with the fundamentals needed to master basic drawing skills.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. For many of my works, I do extensive research to ensure believable environments, clothing, and props. If the work is promoting animal rights or the environmental movement, I strive to utilize symbology and symbolic color, shape, and lighting to urge empathy in the viewer. I often use life drawings to provide an accurate and convincing foundation to my works before I add the fantasy elements. Patrons respond most positively to my use of color and my compositions, and most of all to the thought and creativity I instill in each piece.
