Berklee College of Music (in Boston, MA) alumnus, Jeff Hudson, is now accepting new students for private music lessons in piano and trumpet:

- Started playing piano at age six
- Picked up trumpet in school band in 6th grade
- Won numerous awards in the Indiana State solo and ensemble contest during high school
- Won the national John Philip Sousa Award during his senior year for being the best musician in his high school
- Took private trumpet lessons for two years during high school from Paul Hilgeman of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra (at the time)
- Accepted by and performed with the Central Indiana High School Wind Ensemble (through Jordan College of Music at Butler University in Indianapolis) before being accepted at the very prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA
- Attended Berklee for two years — was on the dean's list for all four semesters — before going on the road with a working band
- Played actively, ever since, with bands of nearly every music genre
- Taught at All About Music in Indianapolis for approximately a year

I have a wealth of experience in many styles of music. I have played at the best clubs in Boston. I have also played with and warmed up for national acts.

In addition to being a piano and trumpet player, I am also a vocalist, bassist, songwriter, arranger, and producer. In the mid 80s, my own original progressive rock band, called Mirage, has gotten not only airplay in Boston but also favorable reviews in the local arts and entertainment papers.

Returning back home to the Indianapolis, IN in 2008 (after playing all over New England in the Boston music scene for nearly 30 years), I have made a good impression on many local musicians and club owners in the area. I am currently a part of a trio and a very successful and popular cover band.

I can give private lessons. I am accepting students of any age, with or without experience in playing the piano or trumpet. I give lessons at my students' homes, making it very convenient for the students and their parents.
