Callie was excellent. The kids were entertained the entire time. The art was beautiful, the balloons were fabulous. Everything about the experience was very professional. I definitely plan to book her again! Lexie Matthews

Callie the Clown did my 5 year olds carnival birthday party. We had about 30 kids there. She was amazing!! Everyone got their face painted (the birthday girl and her sisters were done before the party - full face - amazing work!). The kids also all received an awesome balloon of their choice. These are not your run-of-the-mill balloon animals. There were pirate swords, huge antenna bug hats, wonderful flowers and more! She was a highlight of our day and we are very thankful for your talent and time. I would HIGHLY recommend her for your party!

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Birthday parties, festivals, events and kids' nights.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Check around, ask about prices, and what products are being used. Be sure that anyone you hire is using safe products.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I only use the highest quality face paints by Snazaroo! These face paints meet the child safety standards are the safest on the market.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. How many people you expect to be at the party. I can paint about 15 faces an hour. I can make about 30 balloons an hour. We need to base the length of the performance on those facts. I want everyone to be happy when we're done.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I provide a high quality, family oriented services. I love what I do, and it shows.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Making kids and adults smile :) Seeing wonder in a childs' eyes

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What are your rates? What do you do? My rates depend on which services and the length of the event, so call for a personalized quote! I entertain with balloon twisting (making balloon animals & hats), face painting & calligraphy. I also can help plan the party, provide goody bags according to your theme, even bring the cake!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. There is nothing like the look on a child's face when they look in the mirror and see their face painting! The next best is when they watch an ordinary balloon turn into something magical! I love that I can cause those smiles.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. That my time might be pricey but the experience is worth it! Also my prices include all of the time it takes for me to prepare for an event.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My Dad & I were a clowns when I was in college. As I grew up and had a family working a 9-5 job was difficult. My parents continued in the clown business and recommended that I start again. I'm so glad they did, I'd forgotten how wonderful it is.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. I attend classes on face painting & balloons. I also am on forums that list current developments in both face painting & balloons. I also attend clown conferences.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Find another clown that has established their business and ask them to mentor you.
