FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $32 / hour. But, quite frankly, clients rarely come to me having any idea of what they will get for that $32 / hour! You will get a complete analysis or your sites, your current customers and your potential customer base. But I always recommend a client contact me to talk about the job first. This conversation is in-depth to help me and the customer figure out exactly what the customer wants and expects, and to decide if we are a good fit. Once I know what the customer's needs are, I can give a much more accurate quote. Customers want to know exactly what their money is being spent on, and part of my job is to show them through direct analysis why hiring me is a great return on their investment! Many times, I can also find ways to save them money to get the job done.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the initial consultation with the client, in which we discuss their business goals, the first steps are to get them on any digital media sites they might still need to be on, and then optimize their sites to help reach those goals. Optimizing a site includes ensuring both that the site is easily-searchable AND gives site users a terrific UX! After another client consultation, during which business goals are further defined, I come up with an online marketing plan to help the client reach those goals. This includes a detailed analysis of their existing and potential customers. After the client approves the plan, which sometimes involves a lot of back-and-forth, I install Google Analytics across all digital sites and set campaigns to reach those goals. Then it is a matter of maintaining those sites and campaigns through monthly, or sometimes weekly, analysis. At this point, is very much up to the client as far as how much work they want to take on for themselves.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
When you hire a Digital Media consultant, you are also paying for their Digital Media expertise- their ability to stay "up-to-date" on the ever-changing trends that will make or break your company's presence on the Internet. I am certified in Google Analytics by Google. I am also Google Mobile Sites Certified. I have a B. S. from Indiana University, with an emphasis in Communications and Biology. And have taken graduate-level certification courses in Business Management and Data Analysis from both Wharton Business School and Rice University. A Digital Media specialist will never, ever stop learning. Or they will find themselves out of a job! A the end of the day, it's all about increasing profits and conversions for your company.
