I have been using SoHo for over a year. Being a small business, we cannot afford an in house tech person. Mike fills this need. He is very reasonable in pricing, responsive, and through. He is especially helpful over the phone with solving minor glitches. Recommend him highly. It's like having your own tech person 24 hrs a day.

We have used SoHo Integration for the past 5 years. We have needed a variety of services including setting up a multi computer residential system, cleaning up viruses and trouble shooting problems with printers and laptops. Mike Howard is knowledgeable and efficient in diagnosing problems and finding their solutions. The turn around time in providing service is quick and he can provide an exact time of day for service so there is no waiting around for several hours until he shows up. He is also very professional . We have no hesitation in recommending him for all your computer services.

A. The most common type of jobs we have seen in the last 12 months is virus and malware detection and removal. Unfortunately, the average computer user does not understand the dangers of Internet usage and what can happen is diligence is not observed. Many users do not employ an antivirus/antimalware application nor use a firewall to protect them from digital attacks. It is these users that become the identity theft victims and find their bank accounts emptied or their credit cards maxed out. Widespread education on the subject should be mandatory... much like it is required to possess a drivers licence before operating a motor vehicle.
A. I would suggest to them they research thoroughly to make sure they wanted to work in such a fast changing field. Then, step back and take a look at how many people are already working in this profession and how many are experienced BUT out of work. The general information technology industry is saturated at this time, but specializing in a particular field such as network security could be both rewarding and profitable. The main concern I would try to convey is that information technology is a wide ranging field and to work as a consultant or IT Manager for a company requires a lot of study on a wide range of topics. Constant updates to your knowledge are mandatory in order to keep up with the latest technology.
