Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Be aware there are many people in this profession that do not cover their company or employees with liability insurance, workers Compensation or even pay taxes! This can be a costly thing to you! Usually if they say they can clean your home for $60 per clean...this is usually the case! What a deal? NO!And by hiring w/o asking about these things will put you and your home at risk!
Request proof of insurance from the company if you would like! They will have it if they are following the law!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. I think the worst problem customers have is lime build up in their showers. This is also a problem to us. The product that is best for lime deposit is in their own kitchen...Vinegar! Using vinegar after each shower use will help remove existing lime.
To prevent lime build up you may use shower fresh and a squeegee which will help! The best thing would be to wax the walls of your shower. A car wax will do and helps repel water!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Size of your home would be one! Special cleaning preferences, do they have children, handicapped people in their home, and of course pets!
How they will be able to enter their home, or will they be home?

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Our company stands out because we care about our customers security and safety. We send only 1-2 cleaning people to the home and try to send the same cleaners every time.
This is more of a personal service not just a cleaning company.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. People....working with people and pleasing them by making their life a happier life. Giving them more time to spend with their loved ones rather than cleaning in their free time. Giving them a cleaner healthier environment to live in!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How much does it cost? That depends on several factors: condition of your home, size of your home and frequency of the clean. We give free "in person" quotes!

How many people are you sending to my home? Only 1-2 people and we try to send the same people everytime.

What products do you use? Only biodegradable products...pet and children friendly products.

Do I have to supply anything? Yes you do...The dirt!

Do you work Saturdays? This is optional to our cleaning people..but yes we can accomodate those requests; sometimes, with an added incentive of $25 for our cleaning person to give up her day off!

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. One of our favorites is when our cleaning person left behind her sweeper. The customer of course called us and lets us know! The employee was quite embarassed!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. That our profession is one of those that have a stigma of being less than disirable people or workers.
Our workers are screened and have criminal background checks, must have their own vehicles, Valid Drivers licenses, and auto insurance is verified. They go through training with other cleaners before they are ever released on their own! We only hire experienced people.
Due to this economy...some are very educated too! Some of them have master degrees. We have had teachers work for us too!
They are all trying to earn an honest living and do their best to please their customers! If they gain a "Regular" customer from their services they are filling their weekly schedule, which they need! (Regular means: Weekly, biweekly or monthly customers)
Our cleaners are professional and sometimes very educated.
Get to know your cleaning person. Provide the company with feedback, so we may help our employees understand your personal preferences and needs.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. To help other people who were unemployed in this economy... there were many people looking for work which I knew...so I created a job for them!
I researched and found good things and bad about this industry and made us a bit different.
I also found by research there was alot of competition but also room for another company.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. Housecleaning, office cleaning, churches and small buinesses!

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Customer service is very important to us! We went back to this customer and provided the service he expected and not only was he pleased with the results...he gave us his business offices and 2 other regular permanent customers!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. We do! We are currently seeking to train every employee on cleaning when it comes to bio hazards! We will continue to train on products and services daily!

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Equipment is the constant changing factor and we will upgrade every time to help our employees and customers to a continuous satisfaction level.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. 9 refrigerators at a business in 2 seperate buildings! Unusual request. We made the bid at $20 a refrigerator. We completed the job in about 3-4 hours!

Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.

A. We do have acomplicated pricing sysytem. No 2 jobs are alike. Because of this, we must quote every job individually. Each customer requests different things. Some just need help! Some customers are very good housekeepers and some are not. We do not care of the level, just need to be able to satisfy the customer.
Because of this each quote must be given in person.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Research...make you company stand out in a field with alot of competeition. Be willing to pay employees above average to retain the best in your field! Put together a good adverising budget!

Q. Write your own question and answer it.

A. Why a housekeeper?
One thing is our lifestyles are always on the go with activities, work, children, health and with the economy many are working 2 jobs or extended hours!
No time for cleaning!
Besides there is nothing better than coming home to a fresh clean smelling house or even to a clean office on Mondays (which is proven to promote more energy on work)!
A clean home promotes good health and less visits to the Doctor! It gives you more time to spend on the important things in life! Family, Fun and Friends!
Our primary customer is a working customer or a family who has no time for cleaning!
Or even an office who wants to maintain a clean and healthy environment for more productive employees!
