Affordable guitar lessons from a 23-year music veteran. I teach all levels. I teach from my house, but in some instances, I will travel.

Lessons are $20 for an hour and include free tablature on current lesson. House calls will require a fee of $10 per visit. I also offer drum and bass lessons.

Adam gave our 2.5 year old son a guitar and hand drum lesson at our home. Our son was instantly comfortable with Adam and began playing music with him. Adam let our son set the pace and structure of the lesson, which kept him entertained and excited the entire time. The tablature has been helpful for us to continue practicing with our son and aide him in his musical journey. Our son is now picking up a fork while at the table and labeling its parts as if it were a guitar. Very cute. I would recommend Adam's music lessons for any age level.

I have taken lessons from other teachers before, and have found that many teachers might be great musicians but it is difficult for me to learn what I want from them. Adam is a great player and also has good teaching skills. I wanted to learn how to improvise, and this is the first time I feel like I'm starting to learn. My playing has improved a lot, and I enjoy practicing now.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. The first thing I would suggest is to find someone who charges fairly for their services. There are some who charge too much for service that many can provide. Secondly, look for some one who is willing to offer a little extra; for example, I provide free tablature with every lesson that I have designed to communicate the content of the lesson in the best way possible.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I focus on the needs of the student while also making sure that my students learn the essentials to be successful.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Helping others to learn the most important art of music.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Learning how to play an instrument greatly increases a persons self worth. Not to mention their concentration and dexterity. Once you learn how to create, a person can really learn how to get in touch with their emotions and also get to know themselves better. It is a great way to round a child's education and is definitely more constructive than watching tv or playing video games. I make it fun and interesting for people to learn how to play and it also gives me joy to do so.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I have been writing and performing music for a long time now. There is something very gratifying about creating something interesting and compelling to listen to and then present that piece of art as a gift to other people. I would really like to share this ability with other people. As soon as I realized that I had been gifted with the talent of music I was compelled to show other people how to experience this joy. I get as much out of teaching as my students get from learning.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. When a person decides to take music seriously, whether it is writing, performing, recording, or all of it, you must dedicate yourself to what it is you want to achieve. That includes hours of practice honing your skills and developing your ears to hear music properly. Every skill is challenging to learn but if you stick with it it exponentially gets easier then before you know it you can do it with your eyes closed!
