My name is Matt Winings, and I am a professional, licensed massage therapist. Having worked in "corporate America" for over a decade, I have seen firsthand the effects that stress has on our bodies. In fact, a repetitive stress injury is one of the reasons I became a massage therapist.
My goal is to help my clients "unplug" from our ever-connected society long enough to get the much-needed relaxation that we all owe to ourselves. I customize each massage based upon your needs—from relaxation to muscle strain or pain management.
My studio is located in the Historic Stutz Business Center at the corner of 11th St. and Capitol Ave. This is a convenient downtown Indianapolis location where you can still find peace and quiet. I offer evening and weekend appointments.

A. You should make certain that the massage therapist that you hire is licensed with the state of Indiana. A massage therapist in Indiana must complete at least 500 hours of study from an accredited school and pass an exam. Part of the licensing process includes a check to ensure that the applicant is not a sex offender. Ask your potential therapist what school they attended and if they are licensed by the state. It is your right to know that a trained professional is providing your massage.
A. I have been told that flow of my massage is very relaxing and unlike others. I also incorporate hot towels into all of my massages at no additional charge. I like providing the added benefits of moist heat. I have found this to be very relaxing and beneficial.
A. I love helping people relax and de-stress with massage. It is so rewarding to hear that a client can now move his or her shoulder better or that they finally got a good night’s sleep after their massage. I also enjoy the never-ending learning that comes with this field. There are always new things to learn and grow from in massage therapy.
A. Q: Do you offer online scheduling?
A: Yes
Q: Why do you suggest that I drink water after a massage?
A: During a massage toxins are pushed out of your system. Staying well hydrated helps flush these toxins from your system.
A. I want people to know that every therapist is different. Perhaps you had a massage in the past and it was not the greatest. Try someone else. Each massage therapist has something different to offer.
A. I have a full time career in the corporate world. A few years back I was diagnosed with a repetitive stress injury as a result of years working at a computer. I started researching various ways to become a healthier person and incorporate proactive ways to manage my health. That is when I discovered the many positive effects of massage therapy.
