FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Not complicated. Very simple. Flat rate with no hidden or surprise charges. The fee depends on products requested by the client. location and size of the wedding and reception. and other factors. I require only a 20% deposit with the balance due when photographs and other products are ready to deliver. I am quite flexible and try to work within the clients budget.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once I'm contacted by the prospective client, I try to set up a face to face meeting. I show them more sample pictures and listen to what they envision for their pictures. I take notes and offer advice on things to avoid. Once a contract is executed and deposit received I commit for that date. My deposit required is only 20% and the balance is not due until the pictures are ready to send. I bill via PayPal so they can use a credit or debit card, if they wish. We then stay in contact and visit the wedding venue together to survey the possibilities and challenges.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA), the Digital Wedding Photographers Forum and the IMU Photo Club which provides ongoing courses and seminars. I also correspond with photographers on ideas for weddings to keep myself fresh and up to date on the latest trends and what brides and grooms are looking for. Finally, I studied photography and art at Ball State University before transferring to IU at Bloomington to earn my BA in Psychology.
