- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are by the hour. (Some are given by the half hour only if needed.) Private $40 Semi-private $35 Group $25, packages available at $20 Trail rides $15 short ride, $30 for long/per person. ??Every additional half hr is $15/per person?? Camps $250 per person Birthday parties $125 per hr includes 2 horses. ?Additional time and horses available. ?Travel charges if over 5 miles and varies with the price of fuel. Trail rides also work well for Birthday's! We also entertain picnics, work parties and family get togethers!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start slow and on an individual basis. Private lessons are strongly encouraged in the beginning to ensure safety and confidence. Then students may join a group or continue with private lessons.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the American Paint Horse Association, American Quarter Horse Association and the American Ranch Horse Association. I have worked as a professional in the equine industry since 1992. Years before that, I started out as a groom on an Arabian farm and then went on to train stock type horses and show on a circuit level as well as open. I also am a licensed nurse. I continue to educate myself in college courses. I bring that knowledge into play when working with challenged individuals and in the therapeutic role horses can have in ones life.
