Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that Kansas improved upon last year's 'A-', earning an 'A' for its support of small business.
Some of the key findings for Kansas include:
- Kansas earned an 'A' grade overall from small businesses and an 'A' for the ease of starting a business in the state.
- The state's regulatory systems were also viewed favorably by small businesses - Kansas received a 'B+' for its regulations overall and an 'A-' for its business-friendly licensing rules and procedures.
