We are a general liability and workman's compensation-insured, lawn, landscape, irrigation, and drainage solutions provider. If it is outside of the home, we do it. Hometown Lawn treats every service at your home as if it were our home. Hometown Lawn is intent to provide you with the quality of service you expect when you make the call. What you have in your mind is what we produce before we leave. Exceptional quality at a sound cost completed with your satisfaction is our mission.

Hometown Lawn is a locally owned private business offering lawn, landscape, irrigation, and drainage to the Johnson County Kansas area. Competitive pricing and customer care are two hallmarks that Hometown Lawn was established around.

Hometown Lawn is operated by a civil engineer licensed in the states of Kansas and Missouri. Having an engineer involved to design drainage solutions removes guesswork and provides proper, cost effective solutions for the customer.

Erosion control measure / BMP installation and SWPPP creation and reporting are also available for land disturbances. Residential or commercial, it doesn't matter.

We use Stihl, ExMark, and John Deere equipment, and pride ourselves around a quality finished product. In the winter, Hometown Lawn can assist you with snow plowing and holiday lighting.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Ask lots of questions. Although pricing may be different on what seems the same, chances are you are not comparing apples to apples.

Sometimes that can be difficult. Ask the service provider to guarantee their price. If they won't, ask why. A comprehensive bid up front will often look like it costs more, but in reality can cost less.

We have seen it time and time again, that service providers will leave items off a bid to get in the door, and then jack up the prices of the things they intentionally left off to make the job profitable to them, and costly to you.

BE SURE YOU ARE GETTING THE SAME JOB before you just judge it on price.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Hometown Lawn is owned and operated by a Civil Engineer that grew up in Johnson County. This is our Hometown. Our staff has also grown up in the local area. Chances are, if you graduated from any of the local high schools, one of our staff did with you.

Since Hometown is operated by an Engineer, our clients get free engineered solutions. That is an incredible bonus. It takes an average of 10 years of education and experience to become a licensed engineer, and Hometown Lawn has just that.
