Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Beasley PC's most common type of computer service and repair jobs are usually malware/spyware and virus removal. Also we receive a lot of wireless network setups and new computer setups and data transfers from the old PC to the new PC. We also receive Windows server repair jobs from time to time as well as hardware replacements and upgrades.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. When looking for computer service and repair look for experience, free quotes and free diagnostics options. Don't pay someone to look at your computer and charge for NOT fixing it.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Cloud Computing - a marketing term that basically refers to storing your personal information out on the Internet at a company supplied datacenter. How secure IS your data is the main concern with most and all the recent security breaches it might not seem so secure or safe. Make sure you read the SLA (Service Level Agreement) before singing up for a cloud service.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Before hiring a company to take care of your computing needs make sure you ask if they offer FREE quotes, FREE diagnostics and ask what they do (or offer) to make sure your data is safe, secure and protected.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Before hiring a computer service company make sure you know what you want done and/or accomplished. If you don't lay down the ground work some company's will nickel and dime you if you seem unsure of what it is you are wanting done.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Beasley PC's work stands out above the rest because I work in the IT field as a Network Security Admin and have been in the IT field for over a decade. We also offer free diagnostic for your computers so no need to pay to have someone tell you whats wrong but notfix your issue.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. What I enjoy most about providing computer service and repair is the customer satisfaction of a job completed in a timely manner, at a reasonable rate and the instant gratification of the customer having their computers back up and operational like they were almost new again!

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. The biggest question I get is how much will this cost me? My answer is, it depends on what they want done. I do blocks of time, package deals and offer remote services.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I am a full time IT professional that works a daily job as a Network Security Administrator for a publicly traded company. I have over a decade of professional IT experience in the public and private sector.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I was fortunate to have my computer hobby (from back in the mid 1990's) turn into a full time job in the IT field. I also took my computer passion and knowledge and received a bachelors degree from DeVry University in Kansas CIty Missouri.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Working with a SMB that had a business and Internet connectivity in their shop at the back of their property (no Internet service in the house that was about 50yrds away). I used two Engenius EH200 devices (one as an Access Point and one Bridged) to direct their Internet service wirelessly to their home so they could get better signal strength in their house for all their wireless devices. Worked like a charm and was very impressed with the engenius products! (http://www.engeniustech.com)

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes, I work in the IT field on a daily basis and keep up on the latest trends, security breaches/issues and application vulnerabilities.

Q. What is your greatest strength?

A. My greatest strength is being able to think a project completely through and provide a reasonable quote and turn around time to complete the project.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. Website is currently being re-worked and updated!
Service changes for Blocks of Time, Hourly Rates, Package Deals and Remote Support!!
