FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I wish I could post a simple, straightforward pricing sheet, but it really depends on the scope and length of the work and the needs of the individual client. My pricing structures are similar to those of other types of consultants and counselors -- somewhere in the ballpark of what you would pay a personal trainer, a therapist, or an event planner. I have both "a la carte" options for engaging my services (for the client who has a one-time need or problem solved by a specific service) as well as a monthly retainer option (for clients who need ongoing support). For further explanation, please visit my Menu of Services on my website, www.thedatemaven.com and send me an e-mail to discuss the particulars. :)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I consider myself a life-long learner as well as a teacher, so pursuing opportunities to further my education and stay current in my field comes naturally to me. I am CONSTANTLY reading new books and blogs on the subject, as well as touching base with other dating coaches, life coaches, marriage counselors and matchmakers in my area and across the U.S. I expect my clients to do some reading and reflection as a part of our work together, and I wouldn't ask them to do any "homework" I wouldn't be willing to do myself (or haven't done myself!)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
This is a long story which originates in 1990. Ask me to tell my "how I got started" story, and I'll gladly tell the tale!
