About CR Photography

CR Photography consists of Christi, and sometimes Tim, Moser. We work hard to offer full-service wedding and portrait photography to Eastern and Central Kansas.

Both of us have been drawn to photography since at a young age. We love to tell a story, and to capture a moment in time. Our style is pretty relaxed. Sure, we can do the formal pictures, but we strive for a more natural candor with our clients. We want to capture photos that evoke feelings, and in order to do that, we generally work with a candid style.

Christi majored in fine arts, photography, and minored in art history. Her fine arts background has really helped to bring out a beautiful, artistic style in her portrait work.

We offer custom photography packages at affordable prices. We have a fantastic, easy-to-use, web-based online ordering system, through which prints and downloads are readily available. We also provide digital copies of all edited prints, and a copyright release to print with most packages.

I have used Christi for a couple of different shoots now and she is amazing! She is fun to work with and is so easy to be around! She makes getting my headshots done, so much easier. I will definitely use her again.

Christie Wear did our Wedding pictures last June. She did a wonderful job! She sat down with me and together we wrote out a list of what pictures I wanted and she made sure to get them all. Not having to stress over the pictures during the big day was such a relief! I will use her again!

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. One of the great things about our online print ordering and gallery set up is the fact that customers can see a large sample of work. This gives a patron a very clear idea of what to expect. Of course all photographers are going to put their best work in galleries, on the front page of the website and on facebook. Being able to peek behind the scenes to take a look at what you are going to end up with is invaluable.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. It's all about the lens! Often times people ask us about what cameras they should buy. Most clients want a really nice point and shoot, and are frustrated by the finished product of their home photos. All you have to remember is that it's all about the lens! A nicer lens will make all the difference, and there are some very reasonable, easy to use cameras with great lenses.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Just make sure you know exactly what you are going to get. There are so many photographers out there I would encourage people to find one that suites your style as well as your wallet.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Of course, clients should know the approximate date they would like to book, and what sort of session. But we think the main thing is just to know what you want and to tell us exactly what that is. Odd are we can deliver it! Take some time to browse through our galleries and make note of things you want and don't want. We love a challenge, and welcome you to bring new ideas to the table!

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. My dad gave me my first camera when I was 5, this old clunky Kodak hand me down. I loved it, each flash bulb only had 4 flashes on it... Ever since then I've been hooked, in high school I started taking senior pictures for my friends, lugging a camera around school with me most of the time. I went to college, intending to teach and ended up majoring in Photography. I love meeting people, I feel like by the time I end a photo shoot I really know the person, and I hope that translates onto film. - Christi
