Survey findings and summary
Thumbtack.com, in partnership with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, has released the new results from the second annual Thumbtack.com Small Business Survey. The 2013 study draws upon data from over 7,000 small business owners nationwide and shows that Kentucky ranked among the easiest states for hiring additional employees, earning an 'A+' grade from small businesses.
Some of the key findings for Kentucky include:
- The state earned a 'B-' overall, matching its grade from 2012.
- Although Kentucky earned a 'C' for its regulatory systems overall, it did receive a 'B+' for its business-friendly zoning regulations.
