Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am not just a D.J., I am an entertainer. I can contribute live vocals to any event. As an ordained Minister I can solemnize your marriage, or if your wedding officiant doesn't show up, you have me. As a tribute artist, I can add a guest appearance by Elvis, Jimmy Buffett, Frank Sinatra, Bat Man, or Santa. I am OUTSTANDING, DEPENDABLE, & REASONABLY PRICED. Thank you, Johnny
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love music and I love to sing. I love the way it makes me feel to know that I made someones wedding, or birthday special for them. I love the feeling I get when I do Jimmy Buffett, Elvis, or Sinatra for retirement Community residents, and they are so excited. I love the looks on the children's faces when they see Santa, or Bat Man. I love it when I find great voices while hosting Karaoke. There is nothing like playing or singing the right song at the perfect time. I love my job.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. If we decide we want to do Karaoke, would this be possible, and if so would that cost extra???
I am always Karaoke ready with over 4,000 songs, and there is never an extra charge for this service.
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I did an Elvis concert in a nursing home for Elvis's birthday. After the concert I took pictures with the audience. I learned that the residents had made picture frames in arts and crafts and their picture with Elvis was to go in the frame. I was asked if I would mind visiting the residents that were not able to attend the concert and I said no problem. One resident, an elderly woman was in bed in a comatose state. I got on one knee and put my head next to hers for the photo. She looked at me, her eyes lit up and she said "I know you" the staff was so amazed they started crying and I did also. I don't know what could make a person feel better than that!!!
Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.
A. On Jan.7 2012, I had the honor of being Jimmy Buffett for Jack's 50th Birthday party in Marietta, Georgia. This was a surprise party. I arrived early and set up in the client's living room. Dressed as Jimmy Buffett and ready to go when Jack arrived. When everyone yelled surprise I broke out singing "FRUITCAKES", Jack was overwhelmed, he was speechless. After 12 songs Jack cut the cake and I played some dance music and requests from party guests, then we all sang Karaoke. I absolutely felt like one of the family and I am sure I had as much fun as anyone. It was so great. I love my job!!!!
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am constantly downloading songs to add to my library. Every wedding I do that requires special song choices that I download become part of my library. I download the top 100 song choices of every year for each different genre of music and they are in my library. Every class reunion that requires all the popular songs for that year is in my library. I do a lot of school events, and teen parties and constantly search the most popular teen and hip hop tunes and dance music. I have an excellent feel for what each group of people want to hear, and it is so great when the music is right and everyone is dancing and having fun.
Q. What is your greatest strength?
A. I have a great personality and I love to work with people. I love making a wedding or birthday party extra special. I love music, I love to sing, and I love it when others sing. I love to watch the kids play in the bubbles and chase the lights that move about the floor. I like it when the dogs do it also. It is so great to be part of something special and share in good times with people.
